January Homeless Ministry Update

Through the efforts and contributions of a great many people you are part of demonstrating God's love by feeding 170 to nearly 200 people every month.

Sunday January 27th will be the next outing to the Coalition for the Homeless where a hot meal, fruit, a beverage, personal toiletries, and Bibles and devotional materials will be shared with the city's homeless. We will leave immediately after Sunday worship and everyone is invited to join us.

Busing for tips: Twice a month a couple of our intrepid church members bus tables at CiCi's pizza for tips that are used for purchasing food and supplies for the homeless ministry. Each evening can raise as much as $200. But the outcome is far more than cash. Those up to their elbows in pizza crusts have also experienced God's work and provision as they demonstrate Christian love for those who are hungry as well as those dining at CiCi's.

Please contact the church office for the most up to date information so that you can participate youself. Detta and Cassie will be heading up the busing team on the currently scheduled dates of January 12 and 19th.

Don't let those oranges go to waste! Many people have citrus trees that bear far more fruit than they can eat. If you or your neighbors are in that situation please bring that fruit to the church before January 25th so that it can be used to feed the hungry.
